The City of Wills Point is a Type A-General Law City, with a population of 3,524. The City Council consists of a Mayor and 5 City Council members. These members are elected “at-large” for 2 year terms. The City of Wills Point elects members to the City Council each May on the uniform election date as prescribed by the Texas Secretary of State.
Wills Point City Council meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Van Zandt County Annex located at 145 N. 5th Street, Wills Point unless otherwise noted. As prescibed by the Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and Agenda’s for each meeting is conveniently posted for thepublic to view at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting. The City’s official posting site is located on the front glass at City Hall, 120 N. 5th Street, Wills Point. The City of Wills Point’s official newspaper for posting required publication’s is the Wills Point Chronicle.

Early Voting Begins Monday, April 28th, 2014 through Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 at City Hall each day. Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Extended Voting Hours: April 28th & April 29th – City Hall 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
